It is part of the North Terminal (Check-in and ticketing, as well as bag claim) Flights depart and arrive from Councourse C, and the international Councourses E,F for International flights
I have just done this coming from the UK (last week ) - I spent 6 months worrying that I would not have enough time with 2.25hrs after reading comments on websites. Don't worry I went from the Gate in F terminal to the Gate in C terminal via the plane train - through immigration, customs and security in 1 hour.
At the terminal 2
Everything but delta is North
Delta check-in is located on the Domestic South Terminal!
To cool water for the refrigeration system
Is really hard to say without knowing which airlines she is flying from. But all airlines should have that info on their website.
At least 1 and 1/2 hours. They board 20 minutes before scheduled time
North terminal
Train goes to every Concourse which is every terminal so yes. T-D and partially E are domestic and Some of E and F are international
They really have it together during this pandemic. Easy breezy check ins. Next time Atlanta!
You can get anywhere from here. We've used this airport for so many family trips we've lost count. Our other favorite major trip-origination airports include Phoenix Sky Harbor and Dallas-Fort Worth. However, you just can't beat Delta for service, and that makes Atlanta shine as an airport. Use Phoenix to start your Hawaii and Asia-Pacific trips, Dallas to start your Central- and South America trips, and Atlanta for everything else.
When you spend a day traveling through several airports, you really notice the ones that give the extra effort to standout. You also notice the ones that don't (example: Atlanta International). Nothing over the top special. They do have some art sculptures around (but you need to search for them), children's art on the walls, and food options that you can find anywhere out in town.
I have never had a good experience with the TSA staff here, but most departments are fast and efficient. The airport itself is clean and, in my opinion, easy to navigate.
As good as a big airport can be during a pandemic crisis. People were doing ok with social distancing and mask wearing. Employees were doing great. Plenty of hand sanitizer stations, toichless garbage cans, clean bathrooms. Keep it up.
What a different experience ATL has been due to current covid 19 situation. The place is empty compared to the usual hustle. Still, all staff encountered are incredibly kind and helpful. The plane train was empty practically. Seating is clearly marked for social distancing. I didn't stop at any of the shops as it was a a short lay over. So unfortunately cannot comment on it.
It's July 23, 2020 and it was a smooth layover with enough time to get food without the need to rush. Clean airport. I'm not a virus worry wart so no issues with people and distancing.
This is one of the most amazing airports I've been in. Immaculate, spacious, lots of stores, etc. The train is efficient in getting passengers from one terminal to another. Airport staff is courteous & helpful. I flew on Delta to Atlanta, the hub of that particular airline. Plenty to entertain yourself while waiting on your layover. Would love to visit again soon.
I’ve been all over the world and been to some pretty dirty airports. But ATL is so nice and clean. Comfortable seating, great places to eat, cool art to look at, easy to get into and out of, friendly staff and well kept restrooms. It’s really a nice place. Not too busy and everything is easily identifiable. I wish more airports were like this one. I was here for an event and it couldn’t have went any better. Glad I got to use this airport.
Well, the MARTA train took me straight here, which was great! and I only had to visit 2 desks to check in for my flight.. but that was a Delta thing.. TSA was unusually efficient and we cleared security quickly.. I got food but they didn't have coke.. very sad. But my plane left on time, the little tram got me to my terminal quickly, and the airport was just great!
Beautiful airport. Nothing's really open right now. Lots of hand sanitizer fun times!
Clean, easy directions to use to get around! It is easy to navigate which makes getting from 1 gate to another. Easy to get around and to find your next gate for your connecting flight. Very good! Never had a problem mentioning your name in a post. Thanks for your hospitality thru flight!!Danielle ◇♤♧
Good - 90's % of travelers wearing masks properly. Traffic picking up. Well organized.
The airport is moving smoothly. I was hoping not to get hung up in a lot of issues. But they have a smooth system. I hope the rest of the travel will be the same.
Took a little bit to understand the layout when transferring from one concourse to another (layover flight) but its not bad.
This is my first time seeing mostly Hebrews as CSR all over the Airport, I'm from Tampa...that never happens st TIA... everyone was nice & eager to help...I was so lost! Thanks for the pleasant first experience with Atlanta Airport. Everyone wore masks, it was Awesome...ijs! 😍
Not bad for an aging airport. COVID-19 definitely has made this airport easier to navigate through with the significant decrease in the amount of travelers. The trains definitely speed things up when you have to make your connection several terminals away.
Always been a nostalgic place for me. The security is usually pretty fast, even when the crowds are big. The train is super easy to figure out, and the terminals offer a wide variety of everything.
Clean and appropriate preparations in our trying times. This has helped to make for comfortable travel. Thanks for that!
Security was quick and painless......once you got to them.... Not sure whose Idea it was to put up plexiglass "lanes"....but you basically have to walk at least a half a mile in what feels like a convoluted circle then into plastic lanes packed like sardines....not a lot of social distancing going on, it was a little uncomfortable....guess it was my fault for flying during the day (1:30 pm).. for future trips I will stick to my typical early morning/late night flight routine.
Huge airport. Everyone is masked. Pleasantly surprised.
Great airport but kinda weird not seeing it as in the past hustle & bustle. Easy to get around and from gate to gate for it's size
The Atlanta was nice. A lot of teaffic due to construction. TSA moved a little faster probably because of the pandemic.
Traveling during COVID. Security checkpoints are organized and moved along quickly. In and out in 15mins. Not as crowded of course but still busy.
I flew Southwest airlines and was assisted by a young man named Irving. He went above and beyond assisting me, answered my questions and made sure another family and myself had excellent service all the to the rental car service desk! Great job all the way around.
Excellent customer service. Help was promptly extended when my parking ticket got stuck in one of the machines. The manager who helped me was very patient and assisted me with another machine. I forgot his name, but he came to me around 11:50pm in the parking lot across the N3 entrance. That's the only description I'm able to give. Other than that, it's a well-organized place with separate conveyors for different flights, making baggage claim easy.
One of the biggest airports in the world. I have never flew directly in or out of here, so, never had to deal with checking, bagging, or security to fairly rate that part. I have had long layovers, which, for the most part has been fairly comfortable. Nice options for dining, and plentiful space to get up and stretch your legs, decent seating areas, and staff is very friendly. Nearly missed a flight once trying to catch the metro, sinage could stand to be a bit better in that department, but once on, it was fast, comfortable, and easy enough to sort out. Stressful airport in general due to the sheer size and amount of people but they handle it very well for what I can imagine is an incredible task and operation to manage.
Huge and busy airport, but check-in went quickly. Transit trains were jerky, but convenient. Lots of food choices that were expensive, but good and quick. Plane departed on time. Nice employees
It's an airport with all the expected airporty things. The highlights are absolutely the staff that seemed to have a positive attitude and offered good customer service (for Delta at least). OH! And the layout is NOT SUPER CONFUSING or hard to navigate. Big fan of that feature for sure.
Clean, large but well marked airport. Very quick tram ride between each terminal. Good selection of restaurants and shops but many were closed even at midday so lines were quite long.
Absolutely phenomenal!!!!! I had to get wheelchair service and the young lady that assisted me was very professional, courteous and patient. She got me to my gate in plenty of time and my trip was excellent. I flew Southwest Airlines back to St Louis and the pilot handled his business when it came to landing that plane. The touchdown was flawless. 👌
I fly Delta. And this is their home airport. I have been to many other airports around the world. But I like Atlanta international.(Hartsfield/Jackson) The tram that takes you from terminal to terminal is great. You stay inside the airport. Where it is nice and dry. Unlike JFK where you have to go outside to go from terminal to terminal. And food prices at ATL are much cheaper then other airports around the world.
I seem to get routed through ATL while flying from my home airport. The train between terminals makes getting to the connection pretty easy. The airport and restrooms are always clean! Over the years, and multiple layovers I have found my time at ATL to be generally a positive experience.
Been flying for many years and this flight was very different. My arrival to ATL was shocking!!! Virtually empty. Everything was still running top notch though.
It was big. Long walk to second flight. Very clean. Lots of safety for cleanliness of areas and planes. To many places to eat closed. I hate covid.wish it would go away. Overall good experience.
Parking lot is convenient. In and out of Airport quickly. Safety precautions are being upheld (mask required). Although social distancing wasn't being enforced.
The construction seems to be complete inside the terminal. Covid-19 seems to have taken a substantial toll. More than half the retailers in the terminal are closed and I couldn't find a Starbucks open or closed in 3 separate terminals. I guess the game has changed, I remember when they had a Starbucks every couple hundred feet. You could literally order from one Starbucks and see another Starbucks in both directions.
This airport felt like a mall. Time passed so quickly because this isn't a boring airport. I especially liked the Interfaith Worship area.
I love coming into Atl airport. The sanitizing stations all around the airport now is a great update. The art and history on this airport is amazing. Then the Friday's restaurant tops it off. Always great service!!
Tsa has a system that is painless to pass thru security. They have people to assist with the flow of passengers. Have many sanitizing stations located thu out the concoursed.May need gloves to hold on handrails on moving trams.Flew Delta and felt very safe on planes. They sanitize the planes after every stop. They still only sell window and aisle seating, unless you are traveling together.
Staff Some are amazing friendly others quite scowly. Found it odd I wasn't able to enter any lounges with a first class ticket.Few areas very clean, others super dirty. Bathrooms were clean! Toilet paper was like paper mache. Good drinking fountains.Peculiar how during a worldwide pandemic of mass mask hysteria every single hand sanitizer station was empty.
Wish they still had a smoking section by terminals because a 5 hour wait was long for my next flight. Then to go all the way to the end and out of security to get a Starbucks was crazy. So I figured since I was out I might as well go outside for a cigarette. But all the staff inside and on the plane were absolutely so nice. I flew Delta!!
Love going to a very clean airport. The flight attendants and staff lightened the mood. A lovely staff worker got on the intercom to welcome us for boarding preparations and got everyone to laugh. It made for a great flight to Boston on Wednesday. These are just a few reasons why I love flying through Delta.
Great airport. Come here a lot so I know it well. Always have had a good experience here.
World class facility. All of the staff are very hospitable and genuine. The place is always clean and neat. There is plenty of police presence and it makes you fell safe. The restaurants are neat and clean as are the restrooms. Parking is a little weird though. It doesn't seem to flow logically. I know they are dealing with what they have, but the entrances and exits do seem cobbled together.
Not crowded due to Covid. Dropped family off on top level to check bags and get tickets. Once completed you have to go all the way down to arriving to go through security and then back up. There are no open checkpoints on departure level today. No very many people traveling so it was fast once paperwork snafu was fixed.
Relatively easy to move around between terminals. Airport personnel and business personnel were vary courteous. Monorail is great. Had a 3 hr layover. Time went fast.
Very nice airport. Surprisingly, I traveled through with ease, but I did arrive 2 hours before.my flight. I have traveled through before, and missed my connection due to only having 30 minutes to make the flight. Please allow ample time if you are making a connection.
Delta employees very helpful with my requests.Tram quickly took me to my gate for my flight. All of the facility was clean
This airport is laid out perfectly. So easy to get from one flight to a connection.
